Progress at Duke Street Church
What a space! Suzanne and Adam visited Duke Street Church this week to see the completion of the internal strip out by Buxton Building Contractors Ltd. We are delighted to see through this project to refurbish Duke Street Churchs’s auditorium in Richmond-upon-Thames, which we began at feasibility stage in 2018. See @dukestreetchurch instagram feed for live construction updates!
The project aims to strike a balance between maintaining and enhancing the auditorium’s original 1960s character, designed by Hugh Hubbard Ford, and providing a transformed, attractive, multi-functional and comfortable space for both the congregation and community of Richmond-upon-Thames.
Studio Partington’s multidisciplinary project team includes:
P3R Engineers (building services and energy);
Jonathan Darnell Engineering (structure);
Fleming Associates (cost consultant)
Gillieron Scott Acoustic Design; and
BB7 (fire engineer)
