Enrgiesprong on BBC sounds

Listen to BBC sounds’ podcast on how Energiesprong retrofits buildings with an aim of creating net zero energy homes. SP has collaborated with Melius Homes to deliver the first UK pilot.

Prefabricated off-site, the Energiesprong wall panels arrived in ‘full storey heights’ complete with ample insulation, double glazed windows and a durable board finish, ready to crane into place. Tenants were able to remain in residence throughout the retrofit, which was completed in one week.

A rollout programme is now underway to apply the same approach as per our and Melius Homes Nottingham City Homes 2050 pilot project to further socially rented homes in Nottingham.
