Golden Lane Estate External Lighting and Signage

Earlier this year City of London Corporation commissioned Studio Partington to lead a design team to improve aspects of the public realm, including external signage and external lighting. Surveys and design work have begun considering previous work by GLERA (Golden Lane Estate Residents' Association) and others on estate-wide security, ease of navigation, accessibility, maintenance, and running costs.

In August we attended an Estate Office drop-in to answer questions from residents. Architects’ boards and a pamphlet were prepared to describe the full refurbishment programme which includes windows, lighting, signage, and fire safety improvements at Great Arthur House, as well as repairs to the roof at Great Arthur House and waterproofing the Leisure Centre Highwalk by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands.
