NCH pilot helps Nottingham to be the UK’s first carbon neutral city

SP’s and Melius Homes’ Nottingham City Homes envelope improvements pilot is featured in The Independent as a housing example to assist Nottingham to hit zero emissions by 2028.

Energiesprong prefabricated off-site, wall panels arrived in ‘full storey heights’ complete with ample insulation, double glazed windows and a durable board finish, ready to crane into place. Tenants were able to remain in residence throughout the retrofit, which was completed in one week.

A rollout programme is now underway to apply the same approach to a further 390 socially rented homes in Nottingham
